Happy New Year And Thank You!

Posted on Jan 23, 2013

Lainie's Angels raised over $12,000 during our 2012 Annual Giving Campaign, and it's all thanks to you.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who supported our 2012 Annual Giving Campaign. We raised over $12,000 during the months of November and December, enough to help us continue funding our parent advocate programs in New York and Toronto. Our programs continue to thrive and grow as we expand our reach to families in the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Europe and Australia. Yes, believe it or not, through our expanded social media programs, we have been contacted by families on all these continents!

As we begin 2013, the future for parent advocacy is bright and the need is great. Not just here at home, but everywhere, as parents seek the resources and guidance to make life-saving decisions for their children. This mission of education and outreach will be one of our primary goals this year, as we reach out to parents through our website and blogs. Indeed, the stories people have shared with us via the internet, have raised the awareness of what our families endure as their children battle cancer and blood disorders. We are also reaching out to doctors, nurses and volunteer organization with a newly created Parent Advocate Certification and Training program, which will be put into effect and offered later this year.

Once again, thanks to all of our donors who supported our mission in 2012. Please visit our website, friend us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter, to keep informed with our progress and successes.

Best wishes to all for a happy and healthy 2013.

With appreciation and gratitude,

Stathi Afendoulis
